Module 1: My Experiences

“Teaching kids to count is fine.  Teaching kids what counts is best.” – By Bob Talbert

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.” –
By Benjamin Franklin

So far I have created my about me section, responded to my readings, and created this post.  I watched various videos about how technology is advancing and inspiring new ways to teach.  It’s great that we as teachers are keeping up with what our students may know more about. I was a little frightful of starting this project, because it is done by yourself.  I am slowly getting into it and it does not seem so daunting now.  I am starting to enjoy it as I work my way through.

I don’t want to teach you what to think.  I want to teach you how to think!

A teachers purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image.
